  • [01] ASE opening: stocks level

    Equity prices were holding their ground at the opening of trade on the Athens bourse on Friday, with marginal gains in high-cap stocks. The basic share price index posted slight gains of 0.09 percent and stood at 1,379.23 points at 11:30 a.m. with turnover at 16.842 million euro.

    Among individual sector indices, the biggest gains were in Insurance (up 3.5 percent) and Public Utilities (up 1.16 percent).

    The biggest losses were in Construction (down 2.37 percent), and Commerce (down 1.15 percent).

    The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.05 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.44 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.59 percent.

    Of the stocks traded, 22 were up, 46 were down, and 18 were unchanged.
