    The "Greek and World Almanac - 2011", a detailed publication of last yearâs political and economic reality has again been published by ANA-MPA.

    This year's edition marks the 28th consecutive year that the Greek almanac has been published.

    In the 752-page publication also lists detailed economic developments in Greece and abroad, news on Cyprus, domestic, European and international sports tournamentsâ results. An English language section is also included.

    The "Greek and World Almanac - 2011" can be found at bookstores or can be ordered online at sales@ana-mpa.gr .

    [02] ASE opening: Small rise

    Equity prices were rising at the opening of trade on Friday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.18 percent, standing at 1,549.75 points at 11:15 am, and turnover at 27.738 million euros.

    Individual sector indices were moving mostly upward, with the biggest gains in Health, up 3.81 percent; and Financial Services, up 1.88 percent.

    The biggest losses were in Food & Beverage, down 1.67 percent; and Chemicals, down 1.39 percent.

    The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 0.31 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.66 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.13 percent.

    Of the stocks traded, 49 were up, 21 were down, and 28 were unchanged.
