The group attributed the biggest part of its losses to asset write-offs (1.161 billion euros). Consolidated sales totaled 1.17 billion euros in the January-September period, up 22 pct from 955.2 million euros in the same period last year, while third quarter sales jumped to 416.7 million euros. Gross earnings, however, eased to 292.2 million euros this year, from 324.9 million euros in 2009, while consolidated gross earnings in the third quarter fell to 114.1 million euros from 134.1 million euros over the same period, respectively.
