[01] PM: No talks with Ankara over AegeanÁÍÁ-ÌPÁ/Prime Minister George Papandreou reiterated, from Parliament's podium on Friday, that there is no issue of co-exploitation in the Aegean Sea with neighbouring Turkey, in answer to a tabled question by Popular Orthodox Rally (LA.OS) leader George Karatzaferis.The premier noted that no such a discussion can be held with Turkey under the still existent threat of war (casus belli) issued in the 1990s by Turkey's assembly, "because our territorial rights are being disputed via incessant violations and infringements, and of course, because Turkey has not recognised the International Law of the Sea."ANA-MPa/ He also cited the fact that the issue of the Aegean's continental shelf has not been resolved based on international law and the International Court of The Hague. More details on the subscriber's page of APE-MPE | Subscription request form [02] ASE opening: DeclineEquity prices were declining at the opening of trade on Friday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 0.72 percent, standing at 1,430.23 points at 11:15 am, and turnover at 13.432 million euros.Individual sector indices were moving downwards, with the biggest gains in Insurance, up 3.48 percent; Construction, up 0.60 percent and Public Utilities, up 0.59 percent. The biggest losses were in Health, down 1.89 percent, Commerce, down 1.72 percent and Banks, down 1.68 percent. The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was down 1.06 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was down 0.59 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was down 0.58 percent. Of the stocks traded, 19 were up, 53 were down, and 23 were unchanged.
