[01] Sixth Turkish-Greek Media Conference held in IzmirIZMIR (ANA-MPA) - Turkish and Greek journalists attending the Sixth Turkish-Greek Media Conference, which was held in Izmir, Turkey, on September 17-19, 2010, have decided to establish a joint organization called "Turkish-Greek Journalists Association."Addresses were made at the opening session of the Conference by Greek Government Vice President Theodoros Pangalos and Turkey's Minister of State Hayati Yazici. "After two days of meetings and discussions the participants agreed on the need for an institutional structure to carry on and expand the work thus far undertaken by the media contact groups," a joint declaration issued at the end of the meetings said. The 3D virtual reality simulators of the planetarium will offer viewers an exceptional show that will cover the screen-dome with stars, galaxies, planets, clouds of stars and constellations, to the backdrop of musical improvisations by pianist and composer Ariadne MacKinnon-Andrew and planetarium composer Tasos Katsaris. The 40minute show will start at 8:00 p.m., and entrance to the public is free. More details on the subscriber's page of APE-MPE | Subscription request form [03] ASE opening: RiseEquity prices were rising at the opening of trade on Tuesday on the Athens Stock Exchange (ASE), with the basic share price index up 1.15 percent, standing at 1,509.77 points at 11:00 am, and turnover at 24.004 million euros.Individual sector indices were moving mostly upward, with the biggest gains in Banks, up 2.78 percent; and Financial Services, up 1.78 percent. The only losses were in Telecoms, down 0.89 percent; and Constructions, down 0.75 percent. The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up 1.61 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index was up 0.02 percent, and the FTSE/ASE-80 small cap index was up 0.66 percent. Of the stocks traded, 37 were up, 20 were down, and 16 were unchanged.
