The 37th Book Festival opens its doors on Friday at the Dionisiou
Areopagitou pedestrian street, under the Acropolis. The book festival
is organised by the Association of Book Publishers and UNICEF under the
auspices of the culture minitry and the City of Athens.
More that 50,000 titles representing 300 publishers will be exhibited
at the 228 pavilions of the exhibition.
This year's festival is dedicated to inter-cultural dialogue and many
foreign embassies are participating in a series of events.
The official opening of the festival will take place on Monday. It will
last until September 28.
