[01] PASOK: Workers to see drop in real income
Employees will see a decline in real income for the first time in 12
years, the main opposition Panhellenic Socialist Movement (PASOK) said
on Thursday.
In addition, cuts in state investment would lead to higher
unemployment, a loss of European Union funding, and strangulation of
the market, PASOK economy spokeswoman Vaso Papandreou said in a
statement.
She was commenting on an EU report on the Greek economy released
earlier in the day.
"The government and its policy coupled with an unprecendented inability
to manage the country's economy is leading to a major slowdown in
growth," Papandreou claimed.
