[01] ANA journalists participate in union strike Tuesday
The Athens News Agency (ANA) would like to inform all its subscribers
and Internet users that, due to the strike activity called by the Union
of Athens Journalists (ESIEA) for May 11, 2005 in all the mass media,
it is obliged to discontinue its transmissions and the dissemination of
all news and information in all its services from midnight Monday to
midnight Tuesday, given that according to the ESIEA decision the ANA
journalists are on strike on Tuesday. Consequently, the news contained
on the ANA site will not be renewed for the duration of the strike.
All ANA services and transmissions will resume normally beginning at
midnight Tuesday.
The ANA will be operating with a skeleton staff throughout Tuesday for
the coverage of any urgent events that may arise.
