[01] This year's Easter exodus by Athenians greatest in five years
According to data released by the Public Order Ministry on Monday
evening, this year's Easter exodus by the Athenians was the greatest of
the past five years, given that more than 800,000 cars passed through
the toll gates of the two national road networks with passengers
heading for their home towns.
According to the same sources, by 11 p.m. on Monday it was expected
that 500,000 cars will return, while the remaining 300,000 cars will
return gradually until Sunday. Contributing to this is the fact that
schools are closed and quite a few of the excursionists have combined
the Easter exodus with a few-days vacations.
