[01] Athens Stock Exchange opening: small rise

Equities were rising tentatively at the opening of trade on the Athens
Stock Exchange on Friday, with the general share price index up 0.33
percent at 11:00 am at 2,644.32 points. Turnover was 5.1 million euros,
or 1.7 billion drachmas.
The FTSE/ASE 20 index for blue chip and heavily traded stocks was up
0.33 percent, the FTSE/ASE MID 40 index rose 0.18 percent and the
FTSE/ASE SmallCap 80 index was up 0.10 percent.
Of the stocks moved, 109 were up, 48 were down and 52 were unchanged.

Rain and snow throughout the country on Friday. Winds northerly,
northeasterly, of gale force. In the north, temperatures will range
from -14C to -3C; on the rest of the mainland from -7C to 2C; and in
the islands from -2C to 9C. Rain and snow in Athens with temperatures
between -1C to 2C. Same in Thessaloniki, with temperatures from -6C to
-2C.
