L'une de nos agents du Centre multilingue d'information, Rasa, a rapidement fourni la réponse attendue.[02] EU-ASEAN: Celebrating 30 years of an ever closer relationshipEU and ASEAN Heads of States and Governments will gather tomorrow in Singapore to celebrate thirty years of formal EU-ASEAN relations. At the Summit leaders will endorse the EU-ASEAN Plan of Action which implements the Nuremberg Declaration on an Enhanced EU-ASEAN Partnership. The Action Plan lays the basis for an ever closer relationship between the EU and ASEAN in all areas of mutual interests by cooperating on political and security issues, economics, development, energy security, climate change/environment as well as socio-cultural affairs. A further set of rural development programmes for the period 2007-2013 agreedToday the Rural Development Committee (consisting of representatives of the 27 Member States) gave a positive opinion to the Rural Development programmes of Belgium (Wallonia), Estonia, France (Martinique, Réunion), Germany (3 Länder), Greece, Italy (4 regions), Portugal (Mainland and Azores) Slovakia and Spain (Navarra) for the financial period 2007-2013. These programmes are defined to guarantee infrastructure, create new income opportunities for rural regions, promote growth and fight unemployment. The Commission still has to formally adopt the programmes in the next weeks. The approval of the programmes for other countries and regions will follow in the next months.[05] Europe at the cutting edge of nanotechnology developmentPolicy-makers, scientists and industrialists will come together in Braga, Portugal today to discuss the future of nanotechnology research in Europe. This comes at a positive time for European nanotechnology, with the public- private research partnerships for nanoelectronics and embedded systems close to becoming a reality, the European Commission identified as being the single largest investor in nanotechnology research, and a recently- completed public consultation on the principles for responsible nanotechnology research. But it is important to maintain momentum if Europe is not to miss the opportunities to be offered by this exciting area of science and technology.[06] Commission proposes 2008 fishing opportunities for the Black SeaFor the first time since the accession of Bulgaria and Romania to the European Union on 1 January 2007, the European Commission is now proposing fishing opportunities for fish stocks in the Black Sea. The Commission proposes for 2008 a Total Allowable Catch (TAC) of 90 tonnes for turbot, and a TAC of 15,000 tonnes for sprat, the two main commercial stocks targeted by the Bulgarian and Romanian fleets. These proposals are based on advice from a working group of leading Bulgarian and Romanian fisheries scientists which met in September, and from the Commission's own Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee on Fisheries (STECF) which has reviewed the working group's report. While the sprat stock in the Black Sea is in a very good state, turbot have been under heavy fishing pressure for a while, and the TAC has been set at a low level in order to allow the stock to recover.[07] Member States implement EU legislation to combat the sexual exploitation of children and child pornography. But Member States can still do more. The European Commission has approved the report on the implementation by Member States of the Council Framework Decision 2004/68/JHA of 22 December 2003 on combating the sexual exploitation of children and child pornography. This report finds that most Member States have criminalised sexual exploitation, sexual abuse and child pornography on the Internet.[08] Une aide concrète pour défendre les droits des plus faiblesM.
