Denktash had a meeting with a delegation of Bulgarian ``immigrants'' and listened to their problems. In a statement he made on behalf of the ``immigrants'' at the meeting, Emin Mutlu said that they have been living in the ``TRNC'' since 1994 but that some among them have still not received ``citizenship'' and are, therefore, faced with various problems. In addition to the solution of the ``citizenship'' problem, Mutlu asked that they be given land in occupied Klepini, Ayios Epiktitos, and Kyrenia. They ``complained'' that they did not own ``their houses''.

Noting that those who want to bring their families from Bulgaria are faced with various problems, Mutlu asked for Denktash/s help on the issue.

The statement further noted that ``one cannot understand what the police department/s affiliation with the Interior Ministry as well as institutions such as the Public Affairs Committee and the Central Bank ( as heard) have to do with the economy''.

Accusing the ``government'' of not fulfilling the promises it made to the people, the statement called for its resignation.

There should be a change in the team that has brought the country to the current situation. Economists should be included in the team''. He further noted that the people will not have confidence in the bitter recipes to be prepared by the same team in a bid to overcome the difficulties.
