[01] President Clerides will meet with Denktash to discuss missing persons
issue
Government Spokesman Mr Michalis Papapetrou said yesterday that President
Clerides would be meeting with Turkish Cypriot leader Rauf Denktash on
Friday 11 January 2002 to discuss the missing persons' issue.
At the beginning of his daily press briefing Mr Papapetrou stated the
following:
"The President of the Republic, in his capacity as Representative of the
Greek Cypriot Community, will meet on Friday 11.01.2002 at 10 am with Mr
Denktash in the presence of the Acting Special Representative of the UN
Secretary-General in Cyprus, Mr Wlosowic. The meeting relates to the issue
of determining the fate of missing persons and will take place at the
residence of Mr Wlosowic."
