[01] Foreign Minister Kasoulides on a working visit to Moscow on Monday

Cyprus` Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides is paying Moscow a working visit on Monday, during which he will meet his counterpart Sergey Lavrov.

The visit takes place in the context of Cyprus` chairmanship of the Council of Europe between November 2016 and May 2017. The two Ministers will discuss, inter alia, the Cyprus issue, regional and international issues and bilateral ties.

According to a press release posted on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation`s website, Russian-Cypriot relations are developing in the traditional atmosphere of friendship and mutual sympathy, as reaffirmed by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades' visit to Russia and his talks with President Vladimir Putin in February 2015, as well as by Sergey Lavrov's visit to Cyprus in December 2015.
