    Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon exchanged points of view on the state of play of the ongoing UN brokered talks which aim to reunify the island, divided since Turkey invaded and occupied its northern third in 1974, under a federal roof.

    In a written statement Government Spokesman Nikos Christodoulides said that the UN Secretary General expressed his support of the process and his readiness to help in the framework of his good offices.

    On his part, President Anastasiades expressed the point of view that all parties involved should, through very specific actions, work in order to create those conditions which will allow the whole process to move forward, the Spokesman`s statement concludes.
