[01] Technical Committee on Education asks for Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties' support

Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties were briefed on Wednesday by the heads of the bicommunal Technical Committee on Education, Michalinos Zembylas and Meltem Onurkan Samani, on the tasks, mandate and activities of the Committee.

Zembylas told CNA that they asked for the parties` support, noting that the measures which the Committee promotes are to the benefit of all the children and teachers from both communities.

A press release issued by the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Nicosia said that the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot political parties met on Wednesday under the auspices of the Embassy at the premises of the Home for Cooperation, in the UN-controlled buffer zone, for their regular subcommittee meeting with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot Heads of the Technical Committee on educational matters, Michalinos Zembylas and Melte ...
