  • [01] The first meeting of House Committees of European Affairs Chairpersons of the EU South begins on Saturday

    The first Meeting of Chairpersons of Committees of European Affairs of Parliaments of the EU South begins on Saturday in Nicosia.

    According to an official announcement, the Parliaments of France, Greece, Italy, Croatia, Malta, Portugal and Slovenia will participate in the Meeting, which is taking place at the initiative of Chairman of Chairman of the Cyprus House Committee on Foreign and European Affairs Averof Neofytou.

    The meeting aims at establishing an informal forum, in which the Chairpersons of European Affairs Committees will have the opportunity to exchange views and discuss issues of common interest. They will also have the opportunity to coordinate their actions for the best possible cooperation on facing common challenges.

    [02] Foreign Minister Kasoulides informs Honorary Consular Corps in Cyprus on latest developments

    Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides attaches great significance to informing the Honorary Consular Corps since in this way, countries that do not have an embassy on the island can be briefed on developments.

    The Honorary Consular Corps of Cyprus held their traditional lunch with Kasoulides, as part of the Consuls being informed on efforts to solve the Cyprus problem.

    According to a statement, the role of the Honorary Consul Corps is decisive in efforts to solve the Cyprus problem as it also contributes to shaping Cyprus' image overseas.
