[01] ECB unveils new €10 banknote
The European Central Bank unveiled on Monday, in Frankfurt, the new
€10 banknote which starts circulation on September 23 2014.
The new €10 will be easily recognisable as its design is similar to
the €10 of the first series, a Cyprus Central Bank press release says.
It is further added that the design incorporates advances in banknote
technology, making the note even more resistant to counterfeiting. It
will also be more durable.
[02] DISY and ISAD agree on the need for a solution
The Greek Cypriot Democratic Rally party (DISY) and the Association of
Turkish Cypriot Businessmen (ISAD) agree that a political settlement in
Cyprus is long overdue, and it will bring development and prosperity to
all its citizens.
The President of the Democratic Rally (DYSI) Averof Neophytou and a
delegation of the Association of Turkish Cypriot Businessmen (ISAD),
headed by its President Metin Shadi, met ïí Ìïíäáõ. The meeting was also
attended by the ISAD General Secretary Tamer Muftuzade.
The meeting highlighted the need for efforts to resume negotiations to
achieve a lasting, just, viable and functional solution to the Cyprus
problem.
