[01] Finance Committee of German Bundestag to visit Cyprus
A delegation of the Finance Committee of the German Bundestag is
going to visit Cyprus in April, following the visit of the Committee
of Economics and Technology from 6-8 March and its meetings with the
House President and the Finance Minister. According to CNA sources,
the visit is scheduled between 10 - 12 April. On the 11th, the German
MPs are going to hold contacts with the Central Bank Governor Panikos
Demetriades and other officials.
The delegation is paying Cyprus a working visit in the light of the
Troika consultations on Cyprus` bailout agreement which is going to be
put before the German parliament for approval.
[02] FM welcomes Oman decision for Diplomatic Mission in Cyprus
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs welcomes the Sultanate of Oman's recent
decision to establish a Diplomatic Mission in Cyprus.
"This decision, which is implemented through a Royal Decree of the Sultan
of Oman, H.R.H. Qaboos Bin Said al Said, will actively contribute to
further strengthening the traditional and friendly relations between
Cyprus and Oman", an official press release issued here on Friday says.
This development is the result of closer relations between the two
countries, which is confirmed by the historic visit of the Minister
responsible for Foreign Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman Yusuf bin Alawi
bin Abdullah, to Cyprus, on 17th January 2013, the press release adds.
