[01] Cyprus honours French Commander for support during Presidency
Defence Minister Demetris Eliades thanked the government of France for
its support to Cyprus, at a ceremony during which he honoured French
Commander Gabriel Trouve for his support to the Defence Ministry during
the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
According to an official press release, Eliades expressed his deep
appreciation to Trouve, who served as a liaison between the Defence
Ministries of Cyprus and France during the Cyprus Presidency, for his
services and valuable help to the Defence Ministry and the National
Guard. He also stressed the excellent relations between the two ministries
and the two countries.
The French Commander expressed his gratitude for this honour and referred
to his excellent relations of cooperation, understanding and friendship
with National Guard officers.
