[01] Minister inaugurates central square in Achaea
Interior Minister Eleni Mavrou inaugurated the reconstruction of a
central square in Achaea regional unit, Greece, at the invitation of
Aigialeia municipality.
The reconstruction took place in the framework of the support offered
by the Cyprus government to Greece, with a view to restore and provide
relief to the areas affected by the massive forest fires that broke
out across Greece during the summer of 2007.
[02] Mayor of Ayia Napa passes away
Mayor of Ayia Napa, Antonis Tsokkos, passed away Monday morning at the
age of 60.
According to the police, Tsokkos, died suddenly in his home. He was
re-elected in 2011 as mayor of the tourist resort of Ayia Napa at the
southeastern coast of Cyprus.
