[01] Cyprus shipping remains strong despite crisis
Cyprus shipping remains strong, despite the shock caused to the country's
economy by the financial crisis, Communications and Works Minister Tasos
Mitsopoulos said on Tuesday, from Londong, where he is attending the
28th Assembly of the International Maritime Organization.
According to an official announcement, the Minister attended, in the
margins of the Assembly, a dinner hosted in his honor by the Cyprus
Union of Shipowners and the Greek Shipping Co-operation Committee.
In his address, the Minister said that Cyprus shipping continues its
upward course while enjoying the support of the Cyprus government.
