[01] UK Minister for Europe on two-day visit to Cyprus
Minister for Europe of the United Kingdom David Lidington arrives in
Cyprus on Tuesday for a two-day working visit, during which he will be
received on Tuesday by President of the Republic Nicos Anastasiades
and will meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs Ioannis Kasoulides on
Wednesday.
Issues on the agenda of the meeting with Kasoulides include bilateral
relations, the Cyprus problem, issues related to the British Bases,
developments in the southern neighbourhood, as well as other European
issues of common interest.
The talks will be followed by a joint press conference and a lunch hosted
by Kasoulides in honour of the Minister for Europe.
[02] Defence Minister: Cyprus and Oman enter new era in defence
Cyprus and Oman enter a new era in defence and security relations,
Cyprus Defence Minister Photis Photiou said here on Tuesday.
He was speaking after a meeting with Omani Minister responsible for
Defense Affairs Sayyid Badr Bin Saud Bin Hareb Al-Busaidi, in Nicosia.
The two Ministers had this morning a tête-à-tête meeting, before
embarking on talks in the presence of the two sides` respective
delegations.
