[02] Remains found in Turkish occupied village, probably of Greek Cypriot missingExhumations have begun in the Neo Chorio village in the Turkish occupied areas of Cyprus, where it is believed that six Greek Cypriots are buried, who have been missing since the Turkish invasion in 1974.In statements to CNA, the representative of the Greek Cypriot side at the Committee on Missing Persons (CMP) Theofilos Theofilou, said that the remains of unknown people were found in the village while construction work was taking place in the area. Theofilou was invited to comment on information in the Turkish Cypriot press, which said that exhumation work has begun in the Neo Chorio village. He said that as soon as the CMP was informed about the presence of remains in the area, a team of archaeologists went to the site and began exhumation work.
