with Troika Minister says [01] Capital Controls in Cyprus remain unchangedCyprus` Ministry of Finance issued the eighteenth decree maintaining capital controls unchanged for seven days.Hence, the maximum amount of cash withdrawal cannot exceed €300 daily per natural person or €500 daily per legal person, in each credit institution or the equivalent of these amounts in foreign currency, whereas the cashing of cheques is prohibited. Furthermore, cashless payments or transfers of deposits/funds to accounts held in other credit institutions within the Republic up to €15,000 per month per natural person in each credit institution regardless of the purpose are permitted, while in case of a legal person (company) the permitted cashless payments or transfers of deposits/funds reach €75,000 regardless of the purpose. [02] Auditor General discusses semi-governmental organisations issues with TroikaCyprus Auditor General Chrystalla Georghadji met on Friday with a Troika delegation (EC, ECB, IMF) and discussed ways to cut expenditure of the country's large semi-governmental organizations.In statements to the press after the meeting Georghadji said that she had a frank discussion with the Troika representatives. A number of questions were put on the table as regards the Audit Office's experience and recommendations to reduce expenditure of large semi-governmental organisations and their ability to collect the amounts of money owed to them, she added. Georghadji further noted that the Troika delegation told her they will be in touch at all times with her office. [03] Cyprus will not change its energy plans because of Ankara, Defence Minister saysThe Republic of Cyprus will not terminate any of its energy plans because of Turkey's provocations and blackmailing practices, Cyprus Defence Minister Photis Photiou has stressed.He added that Cyprus will go on with its plans, since energy-related mattes fall within the Republic's sovereign rights, which Nicosia will not abolish. [04] Bank deposits decrease by €5.32 billion in JuneDeposits in the Cypriot banking system in June registered a monthly drop of €5.32 to €50.69 billion compared with €56.02 billion in May.According to figures released by the Central Bank of Cyprus, domestic resident deposits reached €34.96 billion reduced by €2.56 billion compared with May 2013, whereas deposits of residents of other Eurozone member states reached €2.69 billion from 3.33 billion euro in May, and deposits from residents coming from third countries (non EU countries) registered a reduction of €2.13 billion to €13.03 billion.
