[01] Russian Ambassador reaffirms firm support to Nicosia
Russia's firm support to Cyprus was once more reaffirmed during a meeting
here Friday between outgoing Russian Ambassador in Nicosia Vlacheslav
Shumskiy with President of the House of Representatives Yiannakis Omirou.
During the meeting, Omirou expressed Nicosia's gratitude to Moscow for
its long-lasting support and solidarity to Cyprus, noting that in this
difficult economic period Cyprus looks forward to the continuation of
the support of countries like the Russian Federation.
Omirou also thanked the outgoing Ambassador for his contribution to
the enhancement of bilateral relations, especially those concerning the
two Parliaments.
