  • [01] CSE CHAIRMAN - INTERVIEW

The Cyprus Stock Exchange Council Chairman Giorgos Koufaris has pointed out the need for collective action from all stakeholders to attract foreign capital to Cyprus.

Koufaris believes that as the global economy exits from the financial crisis, Cyprus could benefit from investment opportunities.

``Now is the time for Cyprus to turn outwards,`` Koufaris said in an interview with CNA.

Koufaris said that the CSE is trying to deal with the adverse financial conditions by implementing its development programme and by promoting new products and services, as well with cost cutting policies.

He said that the financial crisis has affected the CSE`s long-standing goal to attract new capital both foreign and domestic, as foreign and domestic investment interest has received negative blows as a result of the financial crisis.
