[01] BAGHDATIS THIRD ROUND AUSTRALIAN OPEN
Cypriot tennis player Marcos Baghdatis has qualified for the third
round of Australian Open after winning in Rod Laver Arena the Argentine
Juan Martin del Potro 3-1 (6-1, 6-3, 4-6, 6-3).
Baghdatis, currently 22nd in ATPs World Rankings, will face Austrian
Jurgen Melzer, 10th in the ATP World Rankings, for a place in the 4th
round of this years first Grand Slam.
The match between Baghdatis and Melzer is scheduled to take place on
Saturday.
