[01] DOWNER PRESIDENT EROGLU INVITATION
President of the Republic Demetris Christofias has invited Turkish
Cypriot Leader Dervis Eroglou to attend a dinner he will host on 31
August at his house in Kellaki village.
This was announced on Tuesday by the Special Adviser of the
Secretary-General Alexander Downer following the meeting of the leaders
of the two communities in the context of the UN-led direct talks aiming
at reaching a comprehensive solution to the Cyprus problem.
In his statements, Downer said that this was the last meeting of the
leaders before they have a little bit of a break, adding that the next
meeting will be on the 31st of August.
He said the leaders had a long discussion today about the property
issue, and of course there will be a continuation of the discussions on
this property question when the talks resume on 31 August.
