[01] CYPRUS - TRADE UNIONS - PEACE
All Cyprus Trade Union Forum, comprising Greek Cypriot and Turkish
Cypriot trade unions, has expressed its commitment to the struggle for
peace in Cyprus and all over the world.
In a declaration issued on the occasion of September 1, the Trade
Unions World Action Day for Peace, members of All Cyprus Trade Union
Forum, namely Greek Cypriot PEO SEK, PASYDY and Turkish Cypriot DEV-IS,
TURK-SEN and KTAMS, reaffirmed their commitment to all previous
decisions taken by the forum aiming to contribute to efforts for a
solution to the Cyprus problem on the basis of a bi-communal bi-zonal
federation, the 1977 and 1979 High Level agreements, the UN
resolutions, the political equality of the two communities, as defined
by the Security Council relevant resolutions, and with respect of the
human rights and European values.
