[01] HOUSE PRESIDENT - BULGARIA`S DELEGATION
Marios Garoyian, President of the House of Representatives, briefed the
Chairman and the members of the Bulgaria-Cyprus Friendship Group in the
Bulgarian National Assembly, on the latest developments in the Cyprus
problem.
The Chairman of the Bulgaria-Cyprus Friendship Group in the Bulgarian
National Assembly Georgi Chandarov Anastasov, the Vice-President Rupen
Ohanes Krikorian and the member Yglika Dimitrova Yvanova are paying a
visit to Cyprus, July 7-11, at the invitation of the Cyprus House. The
delegation is accompanied by the Bulgarian Ambassador to Cyprus Petar
Vodenski .
According to an official announcement, issued by the House of
Representatives, Garoyian praised the long- term and traditional ties
of friendship between the two countries and expressed gratitude for the
support that Bulgaria provides to Cyprus in the United Nations and
other international organizations.
Anastasov reiterated the firm and consistent position of Bulgaria that
the solution of the Cyprus problem should be based on the UN
resolutions, the international law and the EU principles and values.
