CY spokesman Kyriacos Kyriacou has said the work stoppage affects 12 flights and about 2000 passengers, to and from six destinations - Paris, London, Manchester, Athens, Salonica and Zurich.

He said the company has notified all passengers concerned about alternative arrangements relating to their flights and explained that all affected flights have been rescheduled either before or after the strike.

PASIPI President Andreas Georgiou would not comment on any possible escalation of strike measures and said this is an issue of the trade union.
