[01] G/C - T/C MISSING IDENTIFICATIONS - BURIALSFifteen Greek Cypriots listed as missing since the Turkish invasion in Cyprus in 1974, whose remains have been exhumed and identified recently in Cyprus, are being buried during solemn ceremonies in the government controlled areas of Cyprus.The first burial, that of Pieris Adamou from occupied Gialousa, was held Sunday in Derynia, while Savvas Kallis Hadjipanteli also from Gialousa will be buried this Saturday. Other funerals will take place later on. Meanwhile the remains of 13 Turkish Cypriots were buried today in the occupied areas during a military ceremony. Committee on Missing Persons in Cyprus has so far notified the families of 28 persons, 15 Greek Cypriots and 13 Turkish Cypriots, listed as missing, whose remains have been exhumed recently in Cyprus. [02] DEFENCE MINISTER - FRANCE - NATIONAL DAYCyprus Defence Minister Christodoulos Pashiardis will attend celebrations to be held on July 14 in Paris, on the occasion of the French Bastille Day celebrations, at the official invitation of his French counterpart Herve Morin.Cyprus Defence Ministry has said that a company of National Guardsmen from Cyprus will participate at the parade that will take place in Paris on the French national day, at the official invitation of the French Government. [03] ECHR - TURKEY - GREEK NATIONALSLegal circles describe as very significant the case of Ioannis and Evangelos FOKAS against Turkey lodged on 6 March 2002 at the European Court of Human Rights.The applicants, Ioannis Fokas and Evangelos Fokas, are Greek nationals and are represented before the Court by Greek D. Geldis and Cypriot Achilleas Demetriades, lawyers practising in Katerini, Greece and Nicosia, Cyprus respectively. The ECHR called on Turkey to inform the court by 10 September if the applicants have possessions within the meaning of Article 1 of Protocol No. 1 to the Convention and if so, whether there has been a violation of the aforementioned provision, alone or in conjunction with Article 14 of the Convention. Achilleas Demetriades of the Lellos P. Demetriades Law Office told CNA that ``the case is of great significance because it will open the road to Greeks το claim their properties in Constantinople, when the Turkish state is preventing them from inheriting the properties of their ancestors because they are not Turkish nationals``. According to the facts of the case, the applicants, are brothers of Polikseni Foka, was a Greek national who was born in 1943 and in 1954 was adopted by Apostolos Pistikas and his wife Elisavet Pistika, who were both Turkish nationals of Greek origin.
