Commerce, Industry and Tourism Minister Antonis Michaelides, extended
an invitation to Slovenia`s Minister for Economy Andrej Vizjak to visit
Cyprus in an effort to strengthen relations between the two countries.
Michaelides, who is in Slovenia, accompanying President of the Republic
Tassos Papadopoulos who is on an official visit to the country,
described his talks today as useful and interesting, noting Slovenia`s
importance within the EU.
He said that the country`s significance will increase as of next year
as Slovenia will undertake the EU presidency the first term of 2008
[02] SAN MARINO - CYPRUS
Secretary for Foreign and Political Affairs of the Republic of San
Marino Fiorenzo Stolfi arrived in Cyprus for a three-day official
visit.
According to the programme of the visit, Cyprus and the Republic of San
Marino will sign an Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation with
Respect to Taxes on Income.
