[01] SPOKESMAN - HELIOSThe responsibilities for an Helios air crash in Athens on August 14, 2005, will be attributed after the completion of the investigating work of the Commission of Inquiry headed by former Supreme Court judge Panayiotis Kallis, Cypriot Government Spokesman Christodoulos Pashiardis said here Wednesday, one day after the presentation of the final report into the causes of the plane crash to Cypriot authorities.Akrivos Tsolakis, President of the Greek Air Accident Investigation and Aviation Safety Board, presented yesterday to Cypriot President Tassos Papadopoulos and to Minister of Communications and Works Charis Thrasou the final report into the cause of the crash of a Boeing 737-300, which killed all 121 people on board. The report was also given to Kallis as a ``tool`` for the continuation of his investigating work. Replying to repeated questions whether Thrasou should resign, since the report points out ``organisational safety deficiencies on behalf of the Cyprus Department of Civil Aviation (DCA), Pashiardis called for patience until the completion of the investigating work by Kallis. Tsolakis` 198-page report outlines the causes of the crash but does not attribute responsibilities. ``For the government, the detection of the causes is not enough, the detection of those responsible is necessary,`` Pashiardis said, adding that ``those responsible, whoever they are, will be brought to justice and will be liable to sanctions according to the law.`` [02] HELIOS - TSOLAKIS REPORTAir company ``Ajet Aviation``, former ``Helios``, refuses to accept the findings of the Greek Air Accident Investigation and Aviation Safety Board`s report on the causes that led to the ``Helios`` Boeing 737 air crash on August 14th, 2005, that killed all 121 people on board, mostly Cypriots.``Helios`` attorney Demetris Araouzos said that the report names ``direct and latent causes`` which, according to the Commission of Inquiry into the causes of the air crash, headed by former Supreme Court judge Panayiotis Kallis, ``are binding, and Helios cannot accept that, before being heard.`` ``The report`s findings are binding for the Commission of Inquiry, which is against the provisions of the law and is based on a wrong interpretation of the role of the Commission,`` Araouzos said, adding that the Commission should ascertain whether the ``direct and latent causes`` named in the report ``are justified and right, or are wrong.`` [03] STOCK EXCHANGES - PLATFORMOn October 30th, 2006, the common trading platform between the Cyprus and Athens stock exchanges, will be launched, Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) President Akis Kleanthous announced.``The new Stock Exchange that will emerge on October 30th will have nothing in common with the old one. Everything will change,`` Kleanthous told reporters. He referred to the changes and the ``important innovations``, such as the introduction of the common European currency, the Euro, for all stock transactions, as well as the introduction of the fiduciary institution.
