[01] PACE - TURKEY - ECHR JUDGMENTS - CYPRUS
Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) has urged Turkey to
fully implement the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) judgments
regarding the long overdue issue of missing persons in Cyprus as well
as that relating to a series of violations of the rights of enclaved
Greek Cypriots.
In a resolution, it adopted in Strasbourg, the PACE plenary also noted
that the issue of displaced persons property is also a source of
concern.
The resolution regarding the ``Implementation of judgments of the
European Court of Human Rights``, presented by Dutch MP Erik Junkens,
rapporteur of the Committee on Legal Affairs and Human Rights, said the
Assembly attached particular importance to measures adopted or yet to
be taken following the Strasbourg Courts judgments as they should
constitute contribution to a comprehensive solution on the Cyprus
issue.
