    Brussels, Mar 9 (CNA) - Luxembourg's Minister of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Jean Asselborn, whose country is presiding over the European Union, has told German radio station ''Deutschlandfunk'' that Turkey should do more on the issue of human rights, adding that the violence in Constantinople (Istanbul) on Sunday against women was not the proper picture of Turkey in the 21st century.

    Strasbourg, Mar 9 (CNA) - Cypriot Member of the European Parliament Ioannis Kasoulides has been elected to the post of the European Popular Party (EEP) Coordinator at the Third Committee of the EuroMediterranean Parliamentary Assembly, which deals with immigration, dialogue of the cultures and quality of life issues.

    Larnaca, Mar 9 (CNA) - Cypriot Minister of Foreign Affairs George Iacovou said today that the Republic of Cyprus is well aware of the US policy on the recognition of the puppet regime in the Turkish occupied areas of the island, as there are ''clear assurances at a very high level'' that there would not be any such move.
