    New crossing point to open at Zodia

    Nicosia, Feb 3 (CNA) Cyprus Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides said that a crossing point at Zodia, following the route of the old Nicosia-Morphou road, will be open within a two month period.

    Responding to questions, Chrysostomides said the new crossing point will open thanks to the Greek Cypriot side's insistence.

    British government committed to end Turkish Cypriots' ''isolation''

    London, Feb 3 (CNA) The British Government is committed to end the so called isolation of the Turkish Cypriots, British Minister Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean has said.

    Answering a question tabled by Lord Maginnis of Drumglass at the House of Lords, Baroness Symons added that the British government supports the EU regulations for financial support of the T/C as well as the direct trade regulation as well as the Commission's proposals to ament the Greek Line Regulation to increase intra-island trade.
