Weather forecast for Cyprus

Nicosia, Dec 30 (CNA) -- The Meteorological Office at Larnaca International Airport has issued the following weather forecast for Cyprus:

Friday and Saturday: 31/12/2004 to 1/1/2005 -------

Locally partly cloudy at times. The wind will be northeasterly to southeasterly light to moderate, 3 to 4 bf and the state of sea slight to moderate. The temperature will range between 9-18C inland 11-20 C on the coast and 7-14 over Prodromos area.

Outlook for Sunday and Saturday: 2/1/2005to 3/1/2005 --------------- On Sunday the weather will be mostly cloudy with rainshowers.

On Monday the weather will become mainly fine but some local cloud may give an isolated shower. The temperature will not a significant fall.

Cyprus President: no signature, no accession talks for Turkey

Nicosia, Dec 30 (CNA) -- If Turkey does not sign the protocol adapting the Ankara Agreement to extend to all ten new members of the European Union, it cannot begin accession negotiations, President Tassos Papadopoulos said here today.
