[01] Cyprus President to visit Italy1050:CYPPRESS:01Cyprus President to visit Italy Nicosia, Nov 16 (CNA) -- Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos will pay a two-day visit to Italy between 17 - 18 November, at the invitation of the Italian government. In Rome the Cypriot President will hold talks with Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and have meetings with other Italian officials. President Papadopoulos travels to Italy tomorrow via Salonica. On Wednesday evening, he will present a medal to Gustavo Selva, President of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies, for his contribution in efforts for a Cyprus settlement and in promoting relations between the two countries. Talks between the two countries will take place on Thursday. President Papadopoulos and his entourage, will meet Prime Minister Berlusconi at 1330 local time. President Papadopoulos will be accompanied to Italy by the Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Commerce, Industry and Tourism, George Iacovou and George Lillikas, the Presidents Press Office Director Marios Karoyian and Cyprus Ambassador in Rome Alexandros Zenon. At 1530, President Papadopoulos will meet Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Pier Ferdinando Casini and at 1700 he will meet Italian President Carlo Azeglio Ciampi. The Cypriot President concludes his trip to Italy with a meeting with Senate President Marcello Pepa. Lillikas will hold a meeting with Foreign Trade Department deputy minister Adolfo Urso at 1800 local time. Urso visited Cyprus last April. The two sides will examine bilateral trade and economic relations and investigate opportunities for expanding cooperation. Lillikas will also meet Italian business people. [02] Cyprus Stock Exchange
