Citizens of Morphou remain committed to a Cyprus settlement

Nicosia, Oct 10 (CNA) -The citizens of the occupied since the Turkish invasion town of Morphou reiterated today the Greek Cypriot side's commitment to work constructively with UN Secretary General Kofi Annan for the achievement of a functional and viable solution of the Cyprus problem on the basis of the Annan plan.

In a resolution on the occasion of the 24th anti-occupation rally to Morphou, the citizens of the occupied town note that the rejection of the Annan plan by the Greek Cypriot community ''was a rejection of the specific plan and not a rejection of a solution.''

''The Greek Cypriot side remains committed to work in the same positive and constructive way with the UN Secretary-General on the basis of his plan for the achievement of a workable and viable solution of the Cyprus problem''.
