Koumoutsakos said that this does not prejudge that there will not be a four-party meeting during the negotiating procedure.

    by Maria Koniotou

Burgenstock, Mar 24 (CNA) UN Secretary General's Special Adviser for Cyprus Alvaro de Soto has said the Cypriots have never, in the past three years been so close to a settlement and expressed the hope ''they will also take advantages of this opportunity''.

Speaking to UN Television de Soto also clarified the New Your agreement of February does not speak about a joint meeting of the four parties (Greek and Turkish Cypriot communities, Greece and Turkey) noting however that he would not like to rule out the possibility of one.
