The construction sector registered an upwards trend for the second consecutive year, recording a positive rate of growth in its value added in a real terms of 4,4% in 2002 compared to 3,7% in 2001.

Papadopoulos briefs National Council parties over negotiations

Nicosia, Feb 28 (CNA) Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos briefed in detail and extensively National Council members about the negotiation process to reach a Cyprus settlement, said Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides.

Speaking after an almost five hour meeting of the top advisory body to the President on the Cyprus question, the Spokesman added Council members (parliamentary parties) expressed their views.
