    Papadopoulos: Turkish stance might change if T/C ''opposition'' wins elections

    Nicosia, Nov 2 (CNA)-- Cyprus President Tassos Papadopoulos said here yesterday that if the Turkish Cypriot ''opposition'' wins the so-called elections in the Turkish occupied part of Cyprus, to take place in December, there is hope, that with Ankara's consent the Turkish stance on the Cyprus problem will change.

    Nasser Al-Attiyiah clinches Middle East Rally Championship title

    Nicosia, Nov 2 (CNA) -- Nasser Al-Attiyiah from Quatar clinched yesterday the FIA Middle East Rally Championship title after winning the Troodos Rally in Cyprus.

    Al-Attiyiah and co-driver Britains Steve Lancaster led in their Subaru Impreza WRC from the outset, accumulating 36 points in the championship.
