    Cyprus-based British soldiers fly to Iraq

    Nicosia, Aug 8 (CNA) -- A company of the 2nd Battalion Light Infantry based at Dhekelia Garrisson in Cyprus, was deployed to Iraq earlier this week for peace support operations, according to a press release issued by the Sovereign Base Areas Administration.

    Nicosia, Aug 8 (CNA) -- Cyprus Government Spokesman Kypros Chrysostomides said here Friday the Turkish side had considered the repercussions with the European Union by deciding to postpone the signing of a customs union agreement between Turkey and the illegal regime in the Turkish-occupied part of Cyprus.
