According to a statement by the Medical and Public Health Services, the airline stewardess who arrived in Greece on Saturday, 10 May and developed SARS symptoms the following day, had traveled on the United Arab Emirates flight UAE 105 from Dubai to Athens via Larnaca. The plane stopped over for one hour and 93 passengers disembarked. The stewardess developed symptoms on Sunday. The fact that the symptoms began the next day of the flight lessens the chances of transmitting the virus to the crew or passengers of the same flight, the statement said. ''This constitutes the maintenance of the recollection and the enhancement of the wish to return'', the Synod notes. However, it expresses regret over the ''unacceptable behaviour'' of Greek Cypriots who cross the divide for recreation purposes and calls on them ''to realise their responsibilities towards their country and our ancestors''.
