French FM: EU supports UN efforts for a Cyprus settlement

Nicosia, Sep 1 (CNA) French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villapin said the EU member states support UN efforts for a comprehensive settlement in Cyprus.

Speaking yesterday during a press conference at Helsingor, Denmark, where the 15 EU Foreign Ministers met, Villapin also noted that the EU member states would prefer a reunited Cyprus to enter the EU.

Nicosia, Sep 1 (CNA) Cyprus right-wing Democratic Rally MP Christos Pourgourides leaves today for Paris to attend a meeting of the Legal Affairs and Human Rights Committee of the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE).
