Famagusta Mayor to promote enlightenment on the occupied town's issue

Limassol, Jan 3 (CNÁ) -- Newly-elected Famagusta Mayor Kikis Kazamias said one of his first priorities was to promote enlightenment on the issue of the town of Famagusta, occupied by Turkish troops since 1974.

"We, the newly-elected municipal board must cooperate with the government and the parliament and coordinate our actions concerning the Famagusta issue", Kazamias said noting "priorities should not alter since we have to face the occupation army and pursue a just solution of the Cyprus problem."
