Cyprus solution could be reached until June 2002, says Clerides
Larnaca, Dec 13 (CNA) -- Cyprus President Glafcos Clerides has stated
that the period between January 2002 to June 2002 was a reasonable time
to reach a solution to the Cyprus problem.

UN Security Council renews UNFICYP mandate
Nicosia, Dec 14 (CNA) - The UN Security Council today renewed for a
further six-month period the mandate of the UN peacekeeping force in
Cyprus (UNFICYP), with Resolution 1384 (2001), which "reaffirms all its
resolutions on Cyprus, and in particular resolution 1251 (1999) of June
29, 1999 and subsequent resolutions".
