Foreign Minister: non lasting solution worse than no solution for EU

Larnaca, Dec 11 (CNA) -- A solution in Cyprus which will not last the test of time is going to be a worse option for the European Union than the non solution of the problem, Cyprus Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides has said, noting that issues relating to the basis of the direct peace talks and the Republic's accession course will be answered within this week.

Nicosia, Dec 11 (CNA) -- The Union of Cyprus Journalists condemns the dismissal of Turkish Cypriot teacher Nilgun Ohron from a Turkish Cypriot school, due to her articles appearing in the opposition Turkish Cypriot newspaper "Avrupa", based in the Turkish occupied northern part of Cyprus.
